8 WEEK PLASTER/PAINTING SKILLS ENHANCEMENT CUSTOMIZED PROGRAM

The Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership is sponsoring an 8 week Plaster/Painting Skills Enhancement Customized Program for NunatuKavut members and Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries.

This customized training program will be offered in the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The first week of the program will cover safety courses, including Occupational Health and Safety, St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Workplace Safety Tools and Equipment. The remaining seven weeks will occur at the work site with hands on plastering/painting instruction.

This training is designed to enhance the skills of program participants who wish to further pursue employment within the plaster/painting field upon program completion. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a Certificate of Acheivement in Continuing Education for Plastering/Painting Skills Enhancement Program. The anticipated start date for this program is mid to late October. Applications will be accepted up to October 7th,2011.
