Cultural Awareness Workshop
The Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership offers a Cultural Awareness Workshop to small and larger groups as requested. This 3-4 hour presentation was designed in consultation with the three Aboriginal groups in Labrador.

We provide information on the history and ongoing traditions and details about their governance structures, demographics and barriers each group faces. We also include a 'Taste of Labrador' nutrition break and have handmade tools and crafts available for inspection and discussion. Participants receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the workshop and will have a greater understanding about the cultural similarities and differences between the three Aboriginal groups, Innu Nation, Nunatsiavut, and NunatuKavut Community Council.

"My team that attended this session haven't stopped raving on how great it was. Thanks for extending us the invite!!"

"That was such a great session. Thanks again for organizing it. The instructors were AWESOME and I learned so much. Very fascinating especially the traditional medicine part and the artifacts."

This workshop provides a valuable opportunity for organizations and businesses to gain enhanced awareness and understanding of cultural practices and variances when working with Aboriginal groups.

Space is usually limited and our fee is based on $75 per person. Group rates are available, and we are willing to bring this workshop to your location outside of Goose Bay.

Please contact Keith Jacque kjacque@latp.ca at the LATP office to inquire about delivery to your organization or business.
