If you are an LATP client, you may be eligible for a wage subsidy to help you gain employment. It is not a pre-requisite that you were enrolled in LATP sponsored training but there are some conditions around participation. All Aboriginal people in Labrador from Innu Nation, NunatuKavut (Labrador Metis Nation), and Nunatsiavut, are eligible to participate in this program.

Do you know an employer? You may discuss opportunities directly with a potential employer and then approach LATP with the contact name of that employer. Or LATP staff will help you make a match with an interested employer.

If you want to participate in the program you must:

• Complete the Participant Application Form.
• Sign the Consent to Disclosure form.
• Work to the best of your ability in the employment position.
• Maintain communication with LATP.
• Apprentices must apply and register with Department of Education Institutional and Industrial Education Division to be eligible for entry into the Apprenticeship program.
• Apprentices must log hours worked in their log book given by the Department of Education.
• Apprentices must sign the Consent to Disclosure to ensure the participant is registered with the Department of Education Institutional and Industrial Education Division.
