Firefighter Training in Sheshatshiu
Since June 2010, 15 students from Sheshatshiu have been taking part in Firefighting training funded by the Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership. This training will be completed in two parts, a portion of this course will be completed at the Safety and Emergency Response Training Centre (SERT) at the Marine Institute in Stephenville, Newfoundland, and the majority will be held in their home community of Sheshatshiu.

This high quality training is due to finish in October 2010 and the successful completion of this course will provide the learner with certified qualifications recognized worldwide in the field of firefighting.
